Details Kininmonth House was largely re-built in 1740 by Charles Cumine, however its rear wing appears to be of 17th Century date and should probably be associated with the Hays of Delgaty who sold Kininmonth in circa 1682 to Gavin Cumine. There is some evidence that the house may be on or near the site of an earlier castle. The present house is a 2-storey and dormerless attic T-plan main house with a low 2-storey back wing of earlier date, probably 17th Century. The interior has been completely completely re-modelled except for fine U-plan staircase carried on reeded columns. Associated dovecot is 18th Century, square built, and formerly had a pyramidal roof, wooden boxes, and six flight holes above doorway.
