Details Remains of Philorth House, a 17th century house built in 1666 for Lord Saltoun with 19th century additions. Only the shell of the 19th Century building survives. It remained the seat of the Lords Saltoun until it burnt down in 1915. No trace of the 1666 mansion survives. There is a sundial with three cherub's heads in the garden of the modern house.
