Remains of hut footings and air-raid shelters of camp, associated with nearby Cairnbulg Airfield (NK06SW0034). The site comprised general accommodation, support and administrative buildings. Labelled on Air Ministry map as: 'Site No.4' (on the north side of the B9033, centred on NK02516447), 'Communal Site No.2' (on the south side of the B9033, opposite the cemetery, circa NK02656429), 'Site no.5' (to the south west, centred on NK02306411), 'Site No.3 (to the southeast, NK 02906412), 'H.F. Transmitting Station' (to the south, NK02546413), and 'Site No.6' (to the south east, on the north of what was Gowanfold Farm, NK03046404). Further camp area to the west (NK06SW0036). Some buildings and air-raid shelters are depicted on OS map (5th edition). These show: in Site No, 4 blast shelters at NK 02547 64536 and NK 02516 64436 (also on current maps): Site No 2. 10 blast shelters also shown on current OS maps, and one Stanton type air-raid shelter at NK 02690 64284: Site No. 5 blast shelters (not on current maps) at NK 02298 64146 and NK 02329 64067: Site No. 3 six blast shelters (not on current maps) at NK 02856 64095, NK 02893 64171, NK 02951 64124, NK 02923 64094, NK 02921 64072 and NK 02964 64077. The southeastern part of the camp has been reclaimed for farming
