Details Site of castle and harbour. The motte and bailey castle, or fortalice, was immediately to seaward of Peterhead Golf Club Pavilion. The harbour was constructed in front of where the Fish House now stands and both were removed to facilitate the building of Ravenscraig. Until around 1895, traces of the moat and massive rubble foundations could still be seen. The old harbour (NK1240 4743) was filled with sand by 1799. Now no trace of the of the castle or harbour. No remains were observed during site visit in 2022 as part of the SCAPE Coastal Zone Assessment Survey.
