Former school, built in 1838, depicted on the OS 1st edition map as a T-plan building, which had been extended by the 2nd edition map. Latterly in use as offices, but now vacant. It is single storey, of ashlar construction, the main elevation with central Roman-doric distyle entrance with rusticated portico, pediment and bellcote above. There are three windows either side of the entrance. The originally symmetrical frontage is now offset with a 3-window pedimented extension added at the south east end of the building. Slated roof with decorative clay ridge tile. The street boundary has a low granite wall, the entrance to the site previously gated with granite pillars.
