Depopulated settlement. At the base of terrace below the main settlement (NO08NW0021) is a limekiln complete with lintel. An enclosure, 8m by 4m, with a longhouse at each end lies close to the head dyke. A separate group, including two longhouses, 12m by 4m and 17m by 5m, lie outside the head dyke. A substantial enclosed area is split into two by a less substantial partition wall. Walkover survey by Highland Archaeology Services along the river Dee in 2023 (NO08NW0055) included part of this site alongside the river and recorded a short section of tumbled drystone wall, not previously noted. This ran between NO 02988 88928 and NO 02971 88924, 1.2 m wide and up to 0.6 m high, running close to the river. Its function was unclear and it was isolated from other features.
