Pony stables, still in use, built in 1851 by J and W Smith. It is a single storey, nine-bay gabled range of stables with a hayloft above, sited to the east of the main stables and coach house (NO29NE0065). The building is constructed from squared and coursed granite and has a grey slate roof with a lead ridge and ashlar-coped skews. The west elevation has nine doors at a variety of pedestrian and stable width, six of which are now blocked with timber boarding and windows inserted. Above the centre bay is a piend-roofed, slate-hung hayloft dormer. There is a further hayloft opening in the gablehead of the south return above an off-centre blinded door.
