Details Remains of a chapel whose boulder foundations and size suggest a Celtic origin. It stands in an enclosure, with a ruined wall, planted with trees. No dressed work now survives, nor are any gravestones visible in the enclosure. Stirton places here the chapel noted by Keith before 1732 as 'St Valentine's Chappell at Abergeldie'. Simpson, noting that an adjacent pool in the River Dee is called 'Pol-ma-chalmag, St Colmoc's Pool' suggests that the real dedication was to St Colmoc/ Colm of Buchan and Caithness, whose fame has been overshadowed by that of St Columba.
