Details Statue, erected on 15 October 1867 and sculpted by William Theed. It is a bronze cast (by Elkingtons) derived from a marble statue, also by William Theed, from 1862, which is now held at Balmoral Castle (NO29NE0023). The statue is of Prince Albert, standing with one hand on a faithful hound and with a rifle in the other. He is in kilted dress with plaid, and placed upon a rocky granite pedestal, inscribed 'Albert Scot 1867'.
