Details Remains of castle. Its small size suggests that the castle was a hunting lodge of 3-4 storeys with a garret. Possibly dates from late 16th early 17th century. Only the foundations of the main building survive, c. 6.7m sq, to a height of c.1m with a circular angle tower at NW standing to a height of c.2.50m. This tower had been about 4.87m in diameter, 1m thick. The foundations of the barmekin wall adjoin the SW angle of the castle. Remains of old workings lie to the W of the castle. The remains have been re-pointed and preserved as a memorial to A Keillar.
