Details Remains of castle/chapel. Dee Castle, the ancient residence of the Gordons, was built circa 1602 and was burnt down in 1641. A Roman Catholic chapel was built in the late 18th century (1797) and incorporated a small portion of the castle remains in its northwest angle. The chapel was disused by 1898 is now a private dwelling.
