Stone, traditionally said to be the stone into which the gibbet-tree was inserted. It has been moved from the south wall of the road to the north side of the road, and set in concrete, in 1962 by the Deeside Field Club. A metal plaque states 'This Gallows Stone was originally placed on the adjacent Gallows Hillock where justice was administered by the Barons of Barony until deprived of their feudal powers in 1747'. The stone is not a mill-stone, and is probably a socket-stone of some sort. Central hole is 12cm in diameter.
