Icehouse associated with Aboyne Castle, dated 1827. It lies within an area of woodland to the southeast of the castle. Barrel-vaulted, of course granite with a granite arch over the doorway, and long and short dressings. A grass roof is swept down to ground level to the east. There are the remains of a wall enclosure to the east, A tooled lintel reads ‘CEA 1827’. The square-plan vaulted chamber is reached by steps on the inside to the south.
