Details Burial mound. It measures 18m in diameter and stands 2m high. An artificial mound of largely earthen content showing no signs of a 19th century excavation, when several cists containing bones and a cinerary urn were found. About 30m northeast are three earthfast stones, 4m apart, forming an arc. They are unusual in being in an area generally devoid of stones. Their purpose is obscure, but could be survivors of a stone circle 7-8m in diameter.
