Stables, still in use. The south-east part is perhaps 18th century with the remainder being circa 1840 and repaired in 1868, however it was mainly built in 1873-74 by James Thomson (Crathes), architect. It is shown on the 1st edition OS map as a quadrangular building with a horsemill attached to the north, a rectangular-plan building filling much of the court and a rectangular-plan range to the east. On the 2nd edition OS map the horsemill and most of the internal structure has been removed. Current OS maps show alterations to the main quadrangular building with additions within the court. The range to the east is depicted as roofless. The C-listed stables are to the south-west of Kincardine House (NJ60SW0027), and is made up of a plain harled quadrangle with a two-storey main south-west front with a plain centre tower of ashlar granite with a crenellated top.
