Details Parish Church and graveyard, and remains of an earlier church. The earlier church (NO76NE0008) is now a roofless rectangular rubble-built enclosure with a round arch built up to springing, in use as a burial aisle. The present Parish Church dates to the 19th century and was designed in the Gothic style, built of sandstone ashlar blocks. The body of the church is a tall 3-bay rectangle with lancets, diagonal buttresses with crenellated tops, a square-plan tower and spire. The centre of the north gable is flanked by lancets and raking crenellation, the tower of four stages in octagonal crenellated angle buttresses, with a pointed doorway at the lowest stage, tall lancets at the second, and a black and gold clock face on the third. There are twin belfry openings on top, a crenellated parapet, octagonal spire and weathervane. The St Cyrus war memorial (NO76SW0030) stands within the churchyard, on the west side of the church. Photographic recording was carried out in February 2019 ahead of proposed alterations.
