Former coaching inn, dating from the 18th century, but somewhat altered. It is a 2-storey harled building with a 5 window frontage. The 1st edition OS map shows a group of five buildings, the southernmost being marked as an Inn. There is also a mill-pond and lade leading to the north-west. The 1888 2nd edition shows four buildings. The southernmost is not marked as an Inn. The northern two buildings have been combined into a larger building and the mill-pond is marked as having a mill-dam. The 2005 map shows that there are three buildings surviving in use at the south-east. There is also a residential development on the site of the northern buildings. The line of the mill lade is still marked.
