Area of numerous clearance cairns, recorded by Headland archaeology during pre-afforestation survey in 1998. Of rounded field stones, the cairns are typically between 2m and 3m in diameter, and stand up to 0.4m in height. although many could be described as spreads or dumps. They are thought to lie at the edge of a pre OS 1st edition field boundary and relate to the improved agricultural landscape.
