Former drill hall, used during World War I and still in use as a Territorial Army Centre. It is a two-storey dormered building, constructed of rendered sandstone with a slate roof and sandstone features painted to match the rendering. It is of four bays to the main street frontage and a single-storey hall and shooting gallery to the rear. The entrances to both street-front block and hall are to the lane at the side. The detached building immediately behind the hall has been suggested to have been residential accommodation for an instructor. The street-front building and hall, but not the detached house, are shown on the OS 3rd edition map. The 1st and 2nd edition OS maps show a building along the street frontage and smaller structure to the rear within the footprint of the current hall. In 1914 the drill hall was the drill station for 'C' Squadron, Fife and Forfar Yeomanry and base for 'D' Company, 7th battalion Gordon Highlanders. Recorded by HS/RCAHMS WWI Audit Project 2013.
