Details Early 19th century Mansion and designed landscape. The house, in the Neo-Greek style, was built for Wm Moir and designed by Archibald Simpson 1822. It is 2-storey, stuccoed and painted, with an 11-bay southeast frontage, and tetra-style fluted Greek Doric portico with wreathed frieze. There are single storey harled wings to the northeast and southwest. Interior has a domed entrance hall with Greek doric columns. Ice-house of probable similar date which is rectangular, vaulted and stuccoed. There a walled garden of circa 1823 to the north of the house (NO79NE0121), an icehouse to the east that is probably of a similar date to the house (NO79NE0116), a sundial in the grounds dated 1846 (NO79NE0115), a mausoleum to the west (NO79NE0011) and at the western end of the designed landscape is the West Lodge (NO79NE0112).
