Details Farmstead, still in use, depicted on historic OS maps on which it is named The Mains. The 1st edition shows a U-plan steading, open to the south, with a central walled court. To the north is an L-plan range, and to the west and L-plan house. By the time of the 2nd edition, there had been considerable alterations and this maps shows an E-plan steading with addition building attached to the north side. Current maps indicate that the western court has since been infilled with buildings. Building survey of the steading was carried out by MAS in 2014 prior to conversion for residential use. It is a fairly typical Aberdeenshire improvement steading, probably dating from between circa 1822 when Park House was built and 1865 when the OS surveyed for the OS 1st edition map. The south part of the east range comprises a one-and-a-half storey farmhouse, the northern part originally used for livestock. Abutting the north end of the west range of the east court is a mill, the wheel pit alongside the west wall. The mill and west court were added in the later 19th century. Distinctive features of the buildings include decorative skewputts, balancing of the east facade with a false chimney at the north end, and the false pediment on the north face of the mill.
