Remains of castle, comprising the indefinite remains of a keep, the footings of a draw-bridge and gatehouse, and part of a curtain wall which previously surrounded the top of the peninsula on which the castle stands, but which is now partly destroyed by cliff erosion. At the northeast angle of the keep there is a pillar of roughly-coursed masonry with rubble infilling indicating a rock-cut basement and at least one floor above. The remainder of the north and east walls and part of the south wall are visible as a vague turf-covered line of masonry. At the east end of the south wall can be seen the remains of a possible newel staircase. The site is covered by tufted grass which may mask evidence of further buildings.
