Details Former parish kirk manse, still in residential use, built in 1786 with a late 19th century extensions. It is a two-storey and attic house constructed of ashlar and slate with a centre gable. Sir Walter Scott stayed here in 1793 and was inspired to write 'Old Mortality'.
