Details Footbridge, still in use, built in 1879 by G S Hird engineer and Blaikie Brothers, makers, replacing an earlier timber bridge. It is a single-span, shallow segmental-arched, cast-iron footbridge over Carron Water that has been cast in three sections. It had a plank floor until 1892, when it was replaced with concrete. There is a dated maker's plaque to the centre of the riveted girder, a wrought-iron quatrefoil parapet, cast-iron standards with a wrought-iron arch at centre, and pyramidally-coped, stop-chamfered ashlar terminal piers. Photographic recording was carried out in March 2019 ahead of refurbishment works.
