Details Walled garden, built in the late 18th century. It is a two-chambered, near-U-plan walled garden with a tall holly hedge to the south, and with an early 19th century summerhouse. The walls are constructed from random rubble with rubble coping and tooled long and short dressings to the gateways. The north chamber has timber lean-to glasshouses to the north-east corner. Much of the glass is now missing, but the workings are still in place. They are flanked to the right by a broad gateway with modern boarded timber gate, and there is a boarded-up gateway to the north-west. At the centre of the south-west wall is a vertically-boarded timber potting shed, and there is a small brick boiler house to the outer wall at the north-east. The dividing wall to the south chamber is supported by modern concrete buttresses to the east. There is a modern timber lean-to to the north-east corner, a gateway under the canopy to the right with a panelled timber door, a gateway to the south of the east wall and a gateway with a panelled timber door to the north of the west wall. The summerhouse is to the centre of the north wall, flanked to the right by a boarded timber gate and to the outer right by a boarded gateway with modern concrete gatepiers. Two boarded-up gateways flank to the left. The summerhouse itself is constructed from random sandstone rubble with lightly droved dressings. It has pointed-arched openings, overhanging eaves, a boarded timber door to the centre flanked by paired windows and blank return elevations. The red pantiled roof is missing to the east, it has a boarded timber-lined interior and a low rubble enclosing wall with near-flat coping.
