Details Flat bronze axe found near Darnaway Castle in 1902. It was purchased for the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS) in 1902. Described by Schmidt and Burgess as a Biggar variant of Migdale type flat axe, with porous cleaned surface. The sides and faces appear hammered. Length 145mm, butt 21mm, cutting edge 76mm, weight 232 gms.
