Cottages dating to the early 19th century. Single storey and dormerless attic, symmetrical west facing pair of 2-bay cottages with canopied entrances in outer bays. Rubble built with tooled ashlar dressings. Double-leaf plank doors with chamfered ashlar angles with run-off stops at wallhead height. Renewed centre brick stack and graded local slate jerkin-headed roof with ashlar soffits. To the rear of No 44 is a rubble-built single storey extension with end gable and stack and slate roof. To the rear of No 45 is a flat roof, harled, lean-to extension.
