Details Remains of a castle built on a Z plan by the Dunbar family. The west angle tower and adjoining fragment of main block survives. A fireplace in the first storey of the main block has a joggled mantel with carved keystone. The battlements had angle bartizans. Modern farm buildings are built on to the outside wall. The castle was possibly built on the site of an earlier one. Roof, remaining angle bartizans and north west corner declared unstable and removed during demolition, after a photographic survey had been completed by Alba Archaeology in 2006.
