Details East Lodge of Altyre Estate (NJ05SW0005), built in circa 1866 by A and W Reid. It is depicted on the 1st edition OS map of 1870, unnamed, and later on the 2nd edition OS map of 1905 named as 'Wardend Lodge'. It is harled with ashlar margins and dressings,, and has a gabled entrance lobby and piended slate roof with ridge stacks. The lodge has since been extended, but the original structure appears to survive. Said to have been the model for Grieve's Lodge at Blairs.
