Former bank, now in commercial use. It was built in circa 1820, possibly by John Paterson of Edinburgh, with various later additions and alterations. The site was purchased in 1808 by John Cumming, merchant and British Linen Bank agent in Forres, possibly with an earlier building. The present building first appears on Wood's map of Forres (1823) as BL Bank. It is a three-storey, five-bay building, constructed of ashlar with rock-faced rustication at the ground floor. There are rusticated quoins, a cornice and a blocking course. There are coped end stacks to the slate roof. A central-segmental arched pend is flanked by original shop fronts, each with a centre door in a round-arched recess. The windows at the upper floors are architraved, while the windows at the first floor are taller than those at the second. Rusticated quoins and cornice and blocking course. A Level 1 Standing Building Survey was carried out in August 2016 prior to proposed interior alterations.
