Details House and gardens shown historic OS maps. The 1st edition shows an L-plan house named Abbeyside with a small square building on the west side of the gardens. The house had been extended by the time of the 2nd edition map, on which it is not named, and further small structures are shown. The house remains in use, now Kinloss House, with the small square building now named as Kinloss Cottage. The Object Name Book of the Ordnance Survey describes the buildings as 'A good slated house two stories high with office houses and labourers cottage attached. They are occupied by farm servants and rented by Mr McKissock of Kinloss. They are the property of the Heirs of the late Colonel Ferguson' (Name Book 1870).
