Details Two fragments of partially melted glass bangles from Culbin Sands. One had been made of translucent ice-blue core glass that was covered with cobalt blue and opaque yellow glass in oblique fashion. Another is made of translucent blue-green glass decorated on the apex with three widely spaced twisted cords. Two cords are made by twisting rods of opaque white and cobalt blue glass in anticlockwise manner. The third cord is made from opaque white and what appears to be purple glass, twisted in clockwise manner. The latter fragment is fused with the northeast Scottish spiral yellow bead. The first fragment belongs to Kilbride-Jones Type 1, the second to Type 2. Date of the bangles is Roman Scottish Iron Age.
