Farmstead, still in use, depicted on the historic OS maps. It is shown on the 1st edition map as a G-shaped steading enclosing a court open at the north, and with an additional wing projecting to the east with an attached garden enclosure. To the southwest is a rectangular building and to the west a mill dam and rectangular millpond. By the time of the 2nd edition map buildings had been added within the court and to the north of the steading. Further to the southwest, within woodland, is a flagstaff. The buildings all appear to remain in use, but the pond has been partially infilled. A distillery was established at Delnabo (possibly as part of the farm complex) in the 1830s, purchased in 1850 by George Smith (founder of the Glenlivet distillery). His son ran it on behalf of his father until it was closed in 1858 on completion of The Glenlivet distillery (NJ12NE0009; see also NJ12NE0021). It also appears to have been known as the Cairngorm-Delnabo Distillery.
