Remains of a Free Church. Following its formation after the Disruption of 1843, and prior to construction of their church, the Inveravon Free Church congregation met outdoors at a site known as the Moderator's Seat (NJ13SE0015), about 460 m to the south. The church was built in 1844 for the Free Church of Scotland congregation at The Craggan. The congregation later united with the United Free Church until1929 when the United Free Church passed back to the Church of Scotland and the Session took the name of Craggan Church of Scotland. Not long after, in 1932, the congregation was united with that of Glenlivet and the church subsequently adopted the name Glenlivet Craggan Church of Scotland. The church was essentially demolished in circa 1940, although the footprint still appears on current OS maps.
