Lodge attributed to W L Carruthers, circa 1900. Gothic lodge. Stugged snecked rubble, tooled ashlar dressings. Single storey and dormerless attic cruciform plan, symmetrical 3-bay S front with centre projecting crowstepped gable with hoodmoulded door with traceried fanlight. Double-leafed Gothic panelled doors with trefoil light above. S and gable windows hoodmoulded with Y-tracery. There are small pointed-headed attic windows in E and W gables and lattice glazing in upper lights. Crowsteps and cross at each gable apex. 3 centrally placed diamond flues. Local slate roof and stone ridge.
