Details Church, in the plain Gothic revival style. Constructed of random rubble, with slated roof, skewed gable, buttresses, and round-headed windows. It has an impressive interior. The bell was cast by John C. Wilson of Glasgow, presented in memory of a minister in 1887. In 1982 the united congregation of Alves and Burghead formed, and was linked with Kinloss and Findhorn in 1995. Within the church is a war memorial unveiled on 5 May 1920, and dedicated to those connected with the congregation who lost their lives during World War I. The gift of Mr Simon Ross (farmer, Coltfield) it is an ornamental white slab inscribed with the names of 15 men, including his son. Church hall adjoining to the south-southwest. A photographic survey was carried out in 2023 prior to proposed redevelopments of the church hall.
