Details School attributed to A. and W. Reid, built between 1873-4. Single storey, gabled 5-bay school with regular south facing frontage. Tooled rubble exterior with tooled ashlar dressings. Advanced and gabled centre bay with hoodmoulded doorway and datestone above. Flanking windows with shouldered lintels, advanced outer bays with mullioned and transomed fenestration. Two gabled bays at east, projecting canted wing in centre of west elevation with entrance. Decorative bargeboards, coped stacks and slate roofs. The former infant school hall is a small single storey, regular 3-bay gabled building. Also tooled rubble with tooled ashlar dressings. Advanced and gabled centre porch with flanking bipartites. Similar rear fenestration. End stack and slated roof. School complex enclosed by rubble stone wall.
