Distillery founded in 1836, and still in use, depicted on OS 1st edition and later maps. The 1st edition map shows the distillery, mill dam and lade running from the south, and offices some distance to the south west. The offices appear to be out of use by the time of the 2nd edition OS map, and have since been removed. The distillery complex had also been significantly enlarged. A group of buildings named Rechlerick, lying between the distillery and offices may have been a small farmstead, possibly later incorporated into the distillery. On the 2nd edition this name appears to be connected with a further group of buildings to the south, probably workers cottages. The distillery was expanded further in 1960.
