Details Town hall, formerly also used as a drill hall. The Grant Hall was built in 1898 as the Town Hall, designed by RB Pratt. It is an elaborate two-storey building with round-headed windows on the lower floor. On one side is a single storey block with a hall behind. It was a drill hall by 1914 when it was the base for 'D' Company 6th Battalion Cameron Highlanders. It is still in use as a TA centre and town hall.
