The East Lodge of Aberlour House (NJ24SE0020) designed by William Robertson of Elgin in circa 1838. It is a single storey, cruciform plan classical polished ashlar gate lodge. Each front is pedimented with unfluted Greek Doric columns, projecting as a portico at the southwest entrance front, with in antis at the flanks. A centre doorway is flanked by narrow side lights. A single window flanks the portico with a panelled apron. There is a similar window in the centre southeast return elevation, to the driveway. There is a corniced centre stack and a shallow roof. It was last occupied during the 1960s and 70s, and the interior was gutted in an attempt to control an extensive outbreak of dry rot. There is a pair of square channelled ashlar corniced gatepiers, with similar piers to the flanking pedestrian entrance, with decorative carved stone urn finials, and a pair of spearhead cast-iron carriage gates with similar flanking pedestrian gates, dating to circa 1860. The building is in a derelict state, and has been on the Buildings At Risk register since May 1990.
