Farmstead, now mostly converted to residential use, depicted on historic OS maps. It is shown on the 1st edition OS map as a C-plan steading with a horsemill attached to the west and various smaller buildings attached inside and outside the court. To the south is a rectangular building within a wooded enclosure. To the east is a U-plan steading with a rectangular building to the south and a well further to the south beyond it. The 2nd edition OS map shows some minor additions and alterations to the main steading building and the U-plan steading to the east has been removed. Current OS maps show the horsemill and smaller associated buildings have been removed, and the section of steading that has not been converted to residential use is depicted as roofless. The rectangular house to the south, now named Muirton House, has been altered to L-plan. The rectangular building to the east has been altered or replaced with a slightly larger building, now named Half-a-Loaf Cottage, and the well to the south is no longer depicted.
