Former United Presbyterian Church, built by A and W Reid in 1857-8. It is in the Gothic revival style, constructed of tooled ashlar with polished ashlar dressings and slated roof. The East gable to Moss Street has an advanced three-stage central tower, which houses a pointed arched, moulded recessed porch with a decorated traceried window above. The clock faces (now removed) were under pointed hoodmoulds at the top of the second stage. There are four louvred traceried windows at the crenellated upper stage, with truncated angle pinnacles and diagonal angle buttresses. The top pinnacles of the tower have been removed. Before their removal, the tower was 95 feet (29 metres) high. There are four-bay buttressed flanks, with traceried windows under pointed hoodmoulds with alternate buttresses. It is no longer in ecclesiastical use. It has since been used as a shop and is now a bar and restaurant.
