World War II pillbox, which stands on a promontory to the north of Covesea lighthouse (NJ27SW0010). The concrete pillbox is stone clad in local stone as means of camouflage, although this cladding is starting to come off from the upper circa 0.3 to 0.5 m of the structure. The pillbox measures 12 ft by 6 ft (3.66 m by 1.83 m), and is six-sided with five loopholes. The door, protected by a blast wall, is to the rear. The pillbox is in good condition. The pillbox was part of the section of anti-invasion defences on Stotfield Links between the lighthouse and Lossiemouth (see also NJ27SW0023 and NJ27SW0021). Site visit as part of Moray Community Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (CCZAS) in June 2022 noted no change to the structure.
