Shooting Lodge of the Glenfiddich Estate, dating from the late 18th Century. It was occupied until the 1960s. Visited and photographed during a walkover survey of a proposed windfarm development on the nearby Hill of Dorenell by Alba Archaeology (Highland) Ltd. It has been greatly neglected over recent years, and suffered a great deal of damage to the interior and exterior. A small, derelict, hexagonal structure (possibly a dovecot) lies upslope to the west, while kennels and other ancillary buildings, also derelict, lie to the south and south-east. All of the buildings and the lodge are depicted on the 1st and 2nd edition OS maps, and do not appear to have been altered over the years. Also shown on Thomson's map of 1820. It is said that Queen Victoria once spent a night at the lodge.
