Details Distillery, established in 1898. A large complex of buildings with a pair of malting kilns and a 8-bay range of rubble bonded stores. The distillery was designed by a local architect and built by Charles Doig and Son, Elgin, who were renowned in the construction of distilleries. It underwent major rebuilding in 1965-66, when a new still house was built along with a new mash house and tun room, while the still capacity was trebled from two to six. In 1969 floor maltings stopped. The distillery closed in 1985, but production restarted in August 1992.
