Hotel built in circa 1800 with subsequent additions and alterations. It has a 2-storey L-plan range fronting High Street and West Street, with rubble walled single storey and loft range backing onto Gordon Street. Main building colour washed harl with contrasting painted ashlar margins. Squat corniced painted ashlar doorpiece with reeded pilasters to main entrance and regular fenestration. Five altered bays to the east (right) including tripartite window at first floor. Further 6 bays to West Street with single ground floor entrance and with principal fenestration to first floor. 4-pane glazing. Margined coped end and ridge stacks, with slate roofs.
