Farmstead, still in use, with a C-listed farmhouse built in the earlier 19th century, possibly by Alexander Todd, Fochabers, but with a 17th century core. The C-listed west range of the steading was built in the early-mid 19th century. It is shown on historic OS maps as a quadrangular-plan steading divided into two with associated ranges, a U-plan farmhouse to the north-west and a pond to the west. Current OS maps show most of the associated ranges have been removed and the pond infilled, although the section of lade to the west remains. The steading has been mostly filled or replaced with a larger steading building. The 2-storey and attic, 3-bay farmhouse has a harled exterior with polished stone margins. Base course to principal elevation, projecting cills and strip quoins. Asymmetrical, gabletted porch advanced to centre of ground floor, panelled timber door with 2-pane letterbox fanlight and window to left return. 3-light canted window to ground floor of flanking bay to left. Gabletted windows with decorative stone finials and breaking eaves to centre, left bays of first floor and gabled bay advanced to bay to right. There are 3-light canted window to ground floor and window to first floor. Decorative stone finial to apex and skylights to attic. 20th century additions to outer right. Predominantly 4-pane and 12-pane timber sash and case windows. Graded grey slate roof with stone ridge. Coped stone skews with moulded skewputts. Corniced ashlar gablehead and wallhead stacks with octagonal cans. Cast-iron rainwater goods. The east-facing steading range is of five irregular bays. White washed rubble. Off-centre entrance with laundry right (north) and bothy left (south). Small windows with varied glazing. Ridge stack and small ridge louvred vent to laundry with piended local slate roof with stone ridge. Dairy (NJ35NW0167) also probably early-mid 19th century. Square single storey and loft with piended local slate roof.
