The largest of the features was excavated in 1990 revealing (1) post circle A, a ring of 14 large post-holes measuring 8.5 m in diameter; (2) post circle B, circa 14 post-holes, 8.5 m in diameter, partially burnt in situ; (3) post circle C, 16 large post-holes, 11.5 m diameter; (4) post circle D circa 9 m diameter; (5) an arc of 11 small post-holes; (6) possible fences; (7) 2 ill-defined hollows. Post circle A had been cut by post circle B which was cut by post circle C. Finds recovered included flint tools and flakes, fragments of burnt bone, two whetstones, a fragment of a rubbing stone and tiny pieces of glassy slag. An area of 23 m by 25 m was investigated.
