Two-storey gate lodge, west facing to former driveway. By William Robertson, 1825. Tooled ashlar west frontage and dressings, harled flanks. Canted west front with centre entrance masked by single storey gabled timber porch (circa 1900) with side entrance. Main doorway (within porch) has rectangular fanlight with radial glazing. Long windows light flanking facets, each set within shallow round-headed recess. Smaller first floor windows, blind in outer faces. Regular 2-bay long north and south elevations. Taller ground floor windows and secondary side entrance in north elevation. Deep ashlar base course. Bracketed corniced and crenellated wallhead and coped centre ridge stack, shallow piended slate roof.
