Harbour, formed by an L-plan pier and a straight pier. All works are concrete. It was home to a thriving fishing fleet in the 18th and 19th centuries but is now used mainly by pleasure craft. On the east end of the west pier is a beacon dating from circa 1891, comprising a short cylindrical tower, rounded at the top with a conical metal roof with ventilator. Depicted on the 2nd edition OS map annotated 'Leading Light (Fixed White)'.
